2016 DC Design House Set for October 1-30, 2016

Former French Ambassador’s Residence Is the Site of the Annual Showhouse

The DC Design House is a 501(c)3 benefiting Children’s National Health System, and this year is located at 2509 Foxhall Road, NW, Washington, DC 20007, which most recently was used as the temporary residence for the French Ambassador. The 9th annual showhouse, which is open from October 1-30, highlights the talents of the DC area’s top decorators who will transform 21 spaces both inside and out the 11,242-square-foot home designed by GTM Architects and built by Gibson Builders. Listed at $10.8 million by Nancy Itteilag of Washington Fine Properties, the five-story home includes seven bedrooms, eight full baths, two half baths, three kitchens, five fireplaces, sauna, exercise and party rooms, wine cellar, and infinity pool.

Preview Day is Saturday, October 1, from 1-4 PM, Tickets for this event are $60Regular Hours from October 2-30 are: Saturday-Sunday, 12 noon to 5 PM, Closed Monday, Tuesday-Friday 10 AM to 3 PM. DC Design House Tickets from October 2-30 are $35. Group tour rates are available. No food or drinks, children under 8, strollers, pets or high heels. The DC Design House is comprised of an all volunteer staff with proceeds going directly to Children’s National.
