October 21st Fundraiser and Birthday Celebration for O.J. Brigance to be Held at the Hard Rock Café Baltimore

This fall, Baltimore-based ALS organization, the Brigance Brigade Foundation, will team up with the Hard Rock Café to raise funds for families battling ALS at the second annual Soirée with O.J. - A Rockin’ Good Time! This red carpet event, being held on Friday, October 21, 2016, will celebrate the 47th birthday of former NFL player O.J. Brigance and raise funds to further the mission of his foundation which equips, encourages and empowers people living with ALS.

The Soirée with O.J. will be held at the Hard Rock Café Baltimore and will feature a special performance by Top 40 Urban A/C Recording Artist Esnavi. The Milwaukee native is a multifaceted artist, now living in New York City and best known for her debut album, "Exit E."

"Since 2008, the Brigance Brigade Foundation has provided a higher quality of life for people living with ALS,” said Esnavi. “I am deeply honored to be a part of an event that will benefit such a great cause."

Soirée attendees will enjoy delicious food, free wine and beer, live and silent auctions, commemorative event favors and special guests from the NFL.

“It is an amazing feeling to be able to hold this event nine years after my diagnosis, and celebrate turning 47, I truly am blessed” said O.J. Brigance, co-founder of the Brigance Brigade Foundation. “But this event is about way more than a birthday, this event is about raising much needed funds and awareness for all of those people who can’t leave their house because they don’t have a ramp or wheelchair, who can’t say ‘I love you’ to their family because they don’t have a speech device, who can’t continue to live with their husbands or wives because they need round-the-clock care. This for them. I hope you will consider joining us in October and doing your part to improve the lives of people battling ALS.”

This rockin’ birthday bash will benefit patients and families in our region currently battling ALS. The Brigance Brigade Foundation, founded in 2008 by O.J. and Chanda Brigance, improves the quality of life for people with ALS and their families by providing access to equipment, resource guidance and support services.

O.J. Brigance was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 37, and doctors told him he would not live more than 2-5 years. Now nine years later, Brigance still gets up every day and goes to work in the front office of the Baltimore Ravens while also acting as Board Chair of the Brigance Brigade Foundation with his wife, co-founder, and Vice Chair, Chanda. The Brigances have faced adversity head-on and want to help others by creating the opportunity to do the same.

Soirée with O.J. - A Rockin’ Good Time! will take place from 7:00 to 11:00 PM on Friday, October 21, 2016. Tickets to the event are $100 (through October 1st when prices will increase) and can be purchased at www.BriganceBrigade.org. Fun and affordable corporate and group sponsorship opportunities are also available for this exciting event. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Foundation Director Amanda Mummert for more information at amummert@brigancebrigade.org.
