Bastille Offers Frozen Treats for National Ice Cream Month

From our friends at Bastille Restaurant & Wine Bar...

Dog Days of Summer

Frozen treats for adults and the puppies who love them

July is National Ice Cream Month. In honor of this auspicious occasion, Chef Michelle Poteaux of Bastille in Old Town Alexandria has created some frozen treats to cool off not only humans, but canines as well.

Beginning July 12th and running through the end of the month, Bastille will be featuring Chef Michelle’s homemade ice cream treats. The menu includes Café Liégeois - espresso ice cream, espresso, chocolate crunch and Crème Chantilly; Dame Blanche - Vanilla bean ice cream, warm chocolate fudge sauce and Crème Chantilly; and Tropic - Passion Fruit Sorbet, vanilla ice cream, toasted Congolais and passion fruit caramel, crème Chantilly. Each sweet treat is available for $9.

This is the perfect opportunity to relax a little after work and skip the rush hour hassle or reward oneself for braving the commute. From shrimp beignets with spicy guacamole to foie gras terrine and more, it’s the perfect, delicious respite from the SafeTrack commuter hassle.

For our canine friends who are welcome to join their Moms and Dads on Bastille’s spacious patio, there is the Cloud Nine Ice Cream Bowl This canine healthy icy treat is a mixture of banana, peanut butter, yogurt and honey - especially doggie healthy.

July just got cooler for humans and the puppies that love them. Whether on two legs or four, these specials are only available until July 31st, so guests should run, not walk.

Bastille is now open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 AM until 10 PM and Sunday 11:30 AM until 9 PM serving brunch, lunch, dinner and all day dining with café and bar menu offered. The restaurant is located in The Asher at 606 N. Fayette Street in Alexandria, Virginia. For reservations and further information, please log into www.bastillerestaurant.com or call (703) 519-3776.
