Café du Parc Celebrates Independence Day with Block-Party Style Barbecue

From our friends at Café du Parc...

General Manager Patrick Birchall announced today The Willard InterContinental’s plans to celebrate Independence Day at its iconic Café du Parc. The restaurant will prepare its annual block-party style barbecue on its vibrant outdoor terrace above Pennsylvania Avenue, opposite Pershing Park.

On Monday, July 4, the Willard’s award winning bistro will fire up its grills, serving American classics like hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, and vegetarian wraps for guests to enjoy outside on its patio under bright, patriotic umbrellas. Live music will accompany the spread from 12 noon to 8 PM.

If the Willard is not your only Independence Day destination, Café du Parc will also offer perfect-for-picnic carryout lunches starting at $15.00, which include an entree fresh off the grill, coleslaw, chips and a bottle of water along with all the condiments and necessary small-wares. Guests can carry these take-out lunches to capital-area festivities or sit at one of the hotel’s onsite picnic tables.

Refreshing popsicles, homemade lemonade and fruit selections make for the perfect snack and will be available for $4.00 each. A variety of wines and beers will also be available all day as well as an à la carte dining menu.

Visitors can stop by Café du Parc post fireworks to enjoy the restaurant’s extended hours, as it plans to stay open until 10:30 p.m. for the special occasion.

Café du Parc serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in addition to brunch. The restaurant is located in the Willard InterContinental Hotel at 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW and is open regularly from 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM.
