Drift on 7th to Launch Bottomless Brunch May 1st
Chef Ferhat Yalçın offers Turkish twist on the all-American mealtime
Beginning this Sunday, Drift on 7th will offer bottomless brunch at the recently opened Shaw retreat. From 11:30am to 4pm, Chef Ferhat Yalçın will serve a brunch menu full of fresh, local seafood dishes accompanied by omelets, sweets, and Turkish inspired cuisine.
Each brunch at Drift on 7th will begin with a definite starter of Chef Yalçın’s beignets served with mixed berry compote and whipped cream, followed by an entrée of varying size. Small plates include a fish cake topped with avocado, garlic-dill sauce and a perfectly poached egg, a savory smoked salmon dish with all the fixings and a sweet yogurt parfait with mixed berries and granola.
Large plates include seared tuna salad with hard boiled eggs, green beans and anchovy dressing, salmon or crab cake Benedict with lemony hollandaise, and shrimp and grits using Wild Gulf Shrimp and Sucuk - a spicy beef sausage of Turkish origins. Non-seafood options include mascarpone Challah French toast and a prime cheeseburger with Sriracha aioli.
A selection of three omelets offers a choice of vegetarian, pescatarian or Turkish. The Turkish omelet includes Sucuk, shallots, bell peppers and tomato while the pescatarian option features lobster, chives, and potato darphin (similar to a latke or potato pancake.)
All items on the menu cost less than $20, just like the lunch and dinner menus. Guests may choose to add bottomless mimosas with mango, orange or cranberry juice for $15. Bloody Mary’s and other brunch cocktails will be available.

Chef Ferhat Yalçın offers a variety of dishes using the freshest local and sustainably raised fish and produce. The full service bar boasts tiki inspired cocktails, wines on tap and craft brews. Open daily at 11:30 AM, Drift serves lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends. The restaurant offers two happy hours with drink and food specials, an early seating at the bar from 5 to 7:00 PM, and a later option beginning at 10:00 PM.
