City Tap Celebrates Craft Beer and Food During SAVOR’s Return to Washington

City Tap House DC welcomes beer lovers in for its extravaganza surrounding SAVOR, an American craft beer and food experience held in Washington on Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4. City Tap, just steps from SAVOR at the National Building Museum, partners with the most innovative and popular craft breweries to present sweeping tap takeovers, whimsical late night specials, and more from Wednesday, June 1 until Sunday, June 5. Guests attending SAVOR will find City Tap is the place to be to celebrate craft beer all week long.

Best of Pennsylvania - Wednesday, June 1 at 11:30 AM
City Tap, founded in Pennsylvania, dedicates almost all its draft lines to breweries from its home state to kick off SAVOR festivities. Pennsylvania-themed food specials, like a Philly-style cheesecake and Cheez Whiz fries, make special appearances on City Tap’s menu. Participating breweries will include Victory Brewing Company, Tröegs Brewing Company, Fat Head’s Brewery, and more.


Allagash Brewing Company Full Tap Takeover - Thursday, June 2 at 11:30 AM
Allagash Brewing Company’s founder, Rob Tod, joins the team at City Tap for an Allagash tap takeover of 40 draft lines.

Hop Vapin’ & Couch Trippin’ with Lagunitas Brewing Company - Friday, June 3 at 4:00 PM
Before the first night of SAVOR, Lagunitas Brewing Company will vaporize different varieties of hops at City Tap to showcase individual hop characteristics. Learn more about the differences between hop strains while enjoying almost 15 Lagunitas brews on draft. Don’t forget to strike a pose on a custom Lagunitas inflatable couch at City Tap and share on social media, for a chance to win Lagunitas prizes.

Late Night Brunch with Breakfast Beers - Friday, June 3 at 10:00 PM
Dig into breakfast-for-dinner at City Tap after working up an appetite at SAVOR. City Tap’s brunch menu is available alongside breakfast-inspired beers like Terrapin Beer Company’s Wake-n-Bake Oatmeal Imperial Stout, Founders Brewing Company’s Breakfast Stout, Stiegl Radler, and Evil Twin Brewing’s Imperial Donut Break.

Four Decades of Craft - Saturday, June 4 at 11:00 AM
Prep for SAVOR’s final day by appreciating four top breweries from the last four decades. Compare and contrast beer through the years, picking from draft lines dedicated to Deschutes Brewery (founded in the ‘80s) Dogfish Head Brewery (‘90s) The Lost Abbey Brewery (2000s) and Wicked Weed Brewing (‘10s.) Dogfish Head Brewery’s founder, Sam Calagione, will be present to talk about his brewery’s continued efforts to make incredible brews over a pint or two.

‘Locals Only’ Brunch -  Sunday, June 5 at 11:00 AM
City Tap shows some love to local breweries to cap off the week of SAVOR. All 40 draft lines will feature breweries from Washington, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware including 3 Stars Brewing Company, Right Proper Brewing Company, Port City Brewing, Flying Dog Brewery, and more.
