Following Impressive Positioning in the Luxury Market by Capella Hotel Group, Developer Bruce Bradley of Castleton Hotel Partners I, LLC Scores Big in $65 Million Sale to CTF Development International
Castleton Hotel Partners I, LLC today announced the $65 million sale of the 49-room ultra-luxury Capella Washington, D.C., Georgetown to CTF Development International. Opened in 2013, the former longtime home of the Trial Lawyers Association was transformed under Washington DC based developer Castleton Holdings LLC and Capella Hotel Group into one of the nation’s premiere luxury hideaways, serving as a retreat for heads of state, international dignitaries and the capital’s top socialites. As part of the transaction, the hotel will be transitioned into a Rosewood Hotels & Resorts property.
In only a few short years, under the management of Capella Hotel Group, the property garnered top accolades from Andrew Harper, Elite Traveler, and the U.S. News & World Report while also securing glowing accolades from The Washington Post, Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes and other luxury travel publications.

Capella Hotel Group’s upcoming project, the Solís Hotel at Two Porsche Drive will be located immediately adjacent to the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Solís property, scheduled to open in 2017, will be designed by the award-winning HOK Architects firm, which also designed the Porsche Cars North America Headquarters. Peter Silling & Associates will craft the hotel's interior design.
Also on the radar for Capella Hotels and Resorts is Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li, which is scheduled to open in March 2017. Located within the Hengfu historical and cultural preservation zone of the Xuhui District, Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li will be the city's only all-villa urban resort in the last remaining cluster of historical "shikumen" (stone warehouse gate) estate, which was the landmark of 1930s Shanghai. Capella Residences Shanghai, located within the same estate, will open in early 2017.
