Naked Pizza Drops the A(dditives) & E(xtras), Becomes NKD
Shamelessly good pizza brand offers a new look & free pizza on Pi Day
NKD Pizza announced today that on Pi Day, Monday, March 14, it will open as a refreshed and rebranded version of Naked Pizza, at the company’s existing four locations in Northern Virginia - Ballston and Pentagon Row in Arlington, and McLean and Reston in Fairfax County. Guests will find the brand’s namesake, shamelessly good pizza, in all of its natural, naked glory, minus additives and extras like preservatives, artificial colors or flavors, GMOs, MSG, BHT or HFCS.
To show off the rebrand, NKD will offer guests free pizzas on Monday, March 14, from 12 noon until 9 PM at the Ballston location (933 N Quincy Street, Arlington, Virginia.) Orders must be placed in person, and each guest will receive a complimentary 10” pizza, available for dine in or carry out, and can choose from any of the five bestselling pizzas on the menu:
• Cheese
• Kennett
• Santiago
• Roadhouse
• Four Corners
Subsequently, neighbors in Pentagon City, Reston and McLean can visit their area location on Wednesday, March 16 to enjoy the same carry out deal all day!
Diners can expect a sleek, modern design with rustic accents including white washed walls, fresh vegetables, a reclaimed wood ordering counter and subtle additions like word-find games on the walls, muted light fixtures, and subway tiled walls. Natural green and gray hues are coupled with clean lines and exposed metal to elevate the otherwise often mundane pizza pick-up process found elsewhere.
In its new iteration, customers will find a proprietary 10-grain Ancestral Blend (TM) crust with 10 ancient grains and prebiotic agave fiber. A new, house-made tomato sauce is prepared with no added sugars or citric acid, and when topped with a variety of all-natural cheeses and meats free of growth hormones and additives, makes for an incomparably good-for-you pizza. The menu also offers a selection of individual or large portioned salads perfect for a group, as well as all natural, roasted chicken wings and strips.
