Smoke & Barrel Celebrates TOM HANXGIVING, $20 All-You-Can-Eat Buffet with Hanks-Themed Menu

Thursday November 26 becomes Tom Hanxgiving Day at Smoke & Barrel as the Adams Morgan barbecue and bourbon eatery commemorates the holiday with a Tom Hanks-themed menu. Why? Because Chef Logan McGear can.

For $20 per person, tax and gratuity not included, the all you can eat buffet includes four turkey selections: an herbed, red-hot or honey bacon bird and a bacon-wrapped turkey breast. Side dishes paying homage to Hanks films include That Stuffing You Do (oyster or apple-cranberry stuffing); Joe vs. The Potatoes (roasted garlic & cream cheese mashed potatoes); Turnips & Hooch (whiskey, miso and maple turnips); The Green Mile Beans (green beans with chipotle pesto); You’ve Got Kale (creamed kale, bacon & parmesan) and Catch Me If You Yam (sweet potatoes, pecans, brown sugar glaze.) Traditional  apple, pumpkin and pecan pies round out the menu.
