One Can Get Their Game Face on at Ella's to Root for the Wizards & Capitals

From our friends at Ella's Wood Fired Pizza...

Ella’s Wood Fired Pizza, a Penn Quarter favorite, located at 610 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004, just three blocks from the Verizon Center, is making Ella’s “Fan Central” for supporters of the Washington Wizards and Capitals this season. Show team spirit by wearing Wizards or Capitals fan gear, face paint or team colors on game days and enjoy one of Ella’s 7-inch signature Neapolitan-style handcrafted thin crust cheese pizzas, baked in a 700 degree wood-fired oven, paired with a pint of DC Brau for just $13.

Fanatical fans may also enjoy Miller Lite pints ($4); Yuengling pints ($5); and glasses of house-made sangria ($5) to toast to their team’s impending success. Ask for the Wizards or Capitals drink of the day ($7), specially crafted to reflect what is foremost in fans minds each game. Support team standouts by ordering The Great Wall, Absolut Citron, herring, lemon juice, cranberry; The Beal Deal, Jim Beam Honey, apple cider, orange peel; Caps Pack a Punch, rum, vodka, raspberry liqueur, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, soda water; and the Great 8, Stoli O (for Ovechkin), cranberry, soda water.

Patrons can enter to win prizes including appetizers, desserts, gift certificates and specially selected team trinkets, by tweeting a selfie to @ellaspizzadc & #gamedaypride showing how they are “geared” up in fan-wear while enjoying Ella’s pizza and libations.

Throughout the season, sports fans can gather in the bar at custom communal pub tables, crafted by Brazilian-American furniture maker Sebastian Lima, where they can watch their favorite teams on wide screen televisions. Or they can elect to sit at tables and banquettes in Ella’s recently revamped dining areas, which features new graphics, created by Ric Garcia, a Cuban-American artist living in the DC Metro area, whose bold designs powerfully reflect the cityscape in which the restaurant resides, in panels and canvases that punctuate the space, bringing the outside world into sharp focus inside its walls.

Located at 610 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004, Ella’s is accessible via metro, one block from the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station, accessible on the Red, Yellow and Green Lines and two blocks from Metro Center Metro Station, accessible on the Blue and Orange Lines.

Ella’s is open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 10 PM; Friday & Saturday, from
11 AM to 11 PM; and Sunday from 12 PM to 10 PM. Brunch is served Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 3 PM, in addition to the full regular menu. Happy hour food and drink specials are offered daily from 4 PM to 7 PM, in the bar only.
