Guac This Way: A.G Kitchen Celebrates National Guacamole Day with Week-Long Special Menu

In honor of National Guacamole Day on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, Silver Spring’s A.G Kitchen, led by Executive Chef Alex Garcia, will launch a special three course menu highlighting this signature dish. An a la carte menu will be available for the entire week, from Monday, September 14 to Sunday, September 20, 2015.

The menu, created by Chef Garcia, covers appetizer, entrée and dessert options, all which highlight guacamole. To awaken the palate, diners may start with their choice of “Guac-tails” including the Cilantro Daiquiri, with cilantro infused rum and lime juice or the Coupe Relleno Verde, with poblano infused tequila, Cointreau, honey avocado, cilantro and fresh lime juice.

A.G. Kitchen’s guacamole options will be made fresh to order with inventive preparations including signature Pineapple & Pomegranate and Papaya & Mint. Especially for Guacamole Week, A.G. Kitchen will prepare its take on the trendy green peas guacamole with Edamame & Queso Fresco. On this special menu, entrees will also include A.G. Kitchen favorite 1940 Rum Glazed Shrimp with grilled shrimp marinated in Copacabana 1940 aňejo rum served with guacamole and a crispy onion ring. In addition, the restaurant’s Surf & Turf, which features a grilled ribeye and grilled salmon will be served with a special guacamole butter.

A full three course guacamole meal will be completed an Avocado Key-Lime Tart topped with whipped cream.
