Hamilton Hotel Hosts Brewmaster's Dinner Series

The Hamilton Hotel D.C. announces a brand new monthly Brewmaster’s Dinner Series, beginning July and ending in October. Guests are invited to savor in delicious dishes and drink exclusive brews at the award winning 14K Restaurant & Lounge. The four–part series prepared by Executive Chef Richard Becke will pair a four-course dinner with hand-selected beers concocted from across the globe.

Schedule of Events:


July 17, Microbreweries - A hand-selected list of truly great small-batch beers. The drink and dish collection for the inaugural event are:

• Goose Island 312 paired with Carpaccio of salmon with fins herbs, lemon mosoto olive oil and sea salt.

• Victory Summer Love paired with Grilled Merguez beside apricot puree, garlic spinach and fried chick peas.

• Blue Point Toasted Lager paired with seared sea scallop and mandarin beurre blanc.

• Tröegs Perpetual IPA paired with jerk chicken spring rolls accompanied by mango chili dipping sauce.

• Devils Backbone Trail Angel paired with marinated pork chops Latino style with fried plantain, casa miento and avocado.

August 9-16, DC Beer Week - In line with local DC Beer Week, 14K will feature one beer per day and end with a tasting of the full flight on August 16th.

On Friday, August 14th, 14K will host the four-course pairing dinner. The evening’s coupling selections include:

• Goose Island 312 paired with a tropical salmon roll with mango and harissa.

• Leffe Blonde paired with local Little Neck clams along with wild garlic, scallions, tomato and lemon basil butter.

• Victory Brewing Golden Monkey paired with tempura fried Cod Filet with pickled vegetables and chili ginger glaze.

• Devil’s Backbone paired with BBQ pulled pork on corn tostone plus comte cheese and chives.

• Smutty Nose IPA paired with Drunken Ribeye alongside grilled asparagus, fried onion straw and puree of sweet potato.


September 18, Regional Beers - Hailing from the Mid-Atlantic region, this event will present craft brews from Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland. The regional beer and food pairings are:

• Heritage Brewery Honey Ginger Wheat Beer paired with sesame tuna roll with scallions, wakame salad and daikon.

• Devil’s Backbone Vienna Lager paired with pulled BBQ pork on corn tostone, comte cheese and wild chives.

• Dominion Belgian Tripel Candi paired with grilled Merguez alongside apricot puree, garlic spinach and fried chick peas.

• Tröegs Perpetual IPA paired with jerk chicken spring rolls and mango chili dipping sauce.

• Victory Brewing Golden Monkey paired with tempura fried cod filet with pickled vegetables and chili ginger glaze.


October 23 & 24, Oktoberfest - While cheering “prost” for the largest brew celebration, the finale of the Brewmaster’s Dinner Series will highlight some of the best brew from Germany. 

Food and beer pairing dinner will be served on Friday, October 23rd. The four-course pairing will be:

• Spaten Oktoberfest paired with grilled asparagus with sunny side egg, roasted slab bacon, manchego cheese shards.

• Franziskanner paired with steamed clams, garlic cream, zucchini, soppresatta and grilled crostini.

• Beck’s Oktoberfest paired with grilled Andouille sausage over Amish potato salad, grain mustard, bread and butter pickles.

• Victory Fiestbeer paired with Lomo saltado over mini risotto cake.

• Goose Island Oktoberfest paired with grilled lamb chops over sweet potato puree and onion crisps.
