From our friends at Strathmore...

Strathmore Presents Ballroom with a Twist

TV flips, high kicks, spins onto Strathmore stage with dancers from reality-competition shows

As if summer wasn’t hot enough, Ballroom with a Twist sizzles at the Music Center at Strathmore as 17 performers ignite the stage with a flurry of moves from the samba, waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, jive, and more on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 8 PM. Ballroom with a Twist unites performers from Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance with vocalists from The X Factor and American Idol in a thrilling song and dance spectacular, inviting fans to get off the couch and up close to the fringe, sequins, and booming sounds of their favorite reality-competition shows. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (301) 581-5100 or visit www.strathmore.org.

Headlining this performance are Lacey Schwimmer and Dmitry Chaplin. An alum of So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars, Schwimmer is known for dancing with Lance Bass of 'N Sync, Steve-O, and Chaz Bono, sashaying her way to second and third place titles. He has danced with Hugh Hefner’s former squeeze, Holly Madison, supermodel Petra Němcová, and singer Mýa on Dancing with the Stars.

Also performing in Ballroom with a Twist are Alla Kocherga, Oksana Dmytrenko, Magda Fialek, and Kiki Nyemchek of Dancing with the Stars; Nick Garcia, Tanisha Belnap, Casey Askew, Legacy, and Jonathan Platero of So You Think You Can Dance; Von Smith of American Idol; Caitlin Koch of X Factor; and international champion dancers Patricia Kaniowski, Jenya Shatilova, CJ Bair, and Tony Pututau.
