RAMMY Best Pastry Chef of the Year Aggie Chin, Helping Guests Combat the Summer with a Cool New Treat

From our friends at The Grill Room...

To add to the excitement of Chef Aggie Chin’s RAMMY win for Best Pastry Chef of the Year this month, she is unveiling her latest dessert creation just in time for the summer: Bubble, Pop, Electric. Priced at $12 on The Grill Room menu, this refreshing new dessert is a homemade strawberry sorbet made from champagne granite, Opalys cremeux and champagne sabayon.

The dessert’s name, Bubble, Pop, Electric perfectly describes the feeling of each spoonful when the pop rocks, champagne and Co2 combine to create a total sensory experience.

Since joining The Grill Room at Capella D.C., Aggie has been wowing guests and critics with her creative signature desserts which feature a dynamic array of ingredients that are composed of seasonal vegetables and fruits, infusions of alcohol as well as traditional dessert ingredients.

In a very short time span, since she joined The Grill Room in February 2015, Zagat DC has named Chef Chin and The Grill Room as one of six DC restaurants where you should not skip dessert (source: http://zagat.bz/1BJgige).

She has not only won the prestigious RAMMY’s Best Pastry Chef of The Year Award for 2015 but received remarkable praise alongside fellow Executive Chef Frank Ruta from The Washington Post (source: http://wapo.st/1FeyPHC). The restaurant received three out of four stars marking The Grill Room as an excellent restaurant.
