Magnolia’s on King Announces July 1st Opening with Special Introductory Pricing Offer
This Old Town newcomer is showing southern hospitality by offering a welcome 10 percent discount on food for guests during their first week of dinner service
Proprietor Steve Fogleman and Partner Mehrnoosh Rajabi are pleased to announce the July 1st opening of Magnolia’s on King, an intimate 60-seat restaurant located in the heart of Old Town at 703 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. Guests of the inspired “Southern Immersion” restaurant will be treated to a 10% discount on their dinner check from Wednesday, July 1st through Saturday, July 4th. This special savings only applies to the cuisine served throughout the restaurant and upstairs lounge. Beverages are not included, and the preview discount is available at dinner service only, Wednesday and Thursday, from 5 to 9:30 PM, and Friday and Saturday, from 5 to 10 PM. Reservations for “Preview Dining” are recommended and can be made by calling the restaurant at (703) 838-9090.
Proprietor Steve Fogleman says the discount is the best way to reward customers for their patience while the staff perfects their routine. “It's our way of introducing our restaurant to the Old Town neighborhood,” says Fogleman. “Although open to the public, we consider this first week to be part of our training and therefore didn’t want to charge full price."
With an emphasis on exceptional southern hospitality, Magnolia’s on King will serve dinner and Sunday brunch in the welcoming main dining room located on the first floor of the restaurant. Upstairs guests will want to venture to discover the second floor bar and lounge, an oasis for enjoying a bar menu for snacking and craft cocktails, where no detail is overlooked, including the perfect size ice cube. On this lounge-focused level, small plates of southern-inspired dishes are server while one takes in the street views and the historic working fireplace.
Magnolia’s on King is located in the heart of Old Town at 703 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia, 22314. The restaurant is located 1.1 mile from the King Street-Old Town Metro Station accessible on the Yellow and Blue Lines. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Thursday, from 5 to 9:30 PM; Friday and Saturday, from 5 to 10 PM. The Lounge is open Tuesday through Thursday, from 4 to 10:30 PM; Friday and Saturday, from 5 to 11 PM. Brunch will begin at a later date, and will be served Sunday, from 10 AM to 3 PM.
